presentation on film the good the bad and the ugly for cinematography.

presentation on film the good the bad and the ugly for cinematography.

Director:

Sergio Leone
Cinematography: Tonino Delli Colli

Sergio is very famous for his close up and by doing this the audience can see and feel whats the character is feeling. its like entering the soul.

Deep focus . He like every thing to be lighted in his set.
"Sergio was a real go-getter, a very meticulous artist who paid attention to everything he did, right down to the smallest details," says Delli Colli. "For the images, he asked for things that were truly effective: full light for long shots because he wanted the details to be visible on screens of all sizes, and close-ups with the individual hairs of the characters' beards visible"

Frame with in a frame.

Selection of location.  death battle in the circle of death in graveyard.  Circle within a circle.

  1. Interesting to see that his approach to deep focus is the direct opposite to what we normally see on Vimeo these days! ;-)
